✿ This is original drawing draws inspiration from tradition Navajo creation stories. The cicada plays a significant role in the transformation into today’s world/reality. This is my interpretation of the beauty and strength that this creature still holds today. Here they are depicted delivering our offerings and prayers to the Holy People by carrying Tadidiin (corn pollen) to the sky. This drawing placed in the Navajo Nation’s juried art show in 2019.
